Meet the Coach!

Todd Samland, Head Coach

Coach Samland is a long-time swim coach with close to 20 years experience. For 15 years, Todd Samland coached the University of Nebraska Master's Swimming program for adults. While there, coach Samland earned the highest honor awarded a master's swim coach--United States Master's Swimming coach of the year, in 1994.

Shortly after that, coach Samland accepted responsibility for the head coaching position at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) for their woman's NCAA swimming and diving team. After some number of years coaching both the UNO Maverick team and the UNO master's team, coach Samland turned control of the UNO master's team over to another coach.

In the spring of 2003, coach Samland responded to begging, pleading, and whining from a variety of adult swimmers to start another adult swim program in Omaha. Since then, the Omaha Master's have grown and continue to pick-up swimmers of all ability levels.
